Three laboratories under one roof
Fire resistance. Vertical furnaces for walls, partitions and doors; horizontal furnaces for floors, roofs, ceilings and beams. Standard (ISO 834 / EN 1363 / UL 263) and hydrocarbon fire curves, with hose stream equipment.
Reaction to fire. Single Burning Item (EN 13823 / GB/T 20284), non-combustibility furnace (EN ISO 1182 / GB/T 5464), oxygen bomb calorimeter (EN ISO 1716 / GB/T 14402), single-flame source (EN ISO 11925-2 / GB/T 8626), flooring radiant panel (EN ISO 9239-1 / GB/T 11785), smoke density chamber, oxygen index, UL 94 horizontal–vertical burning, textile vertical burning, and single cable flame spread (IEC 60332-1).
Batteries. Sealed pressure vessel for cell thermal runaway with gas chromatography; flammability limits (ASTM E918), burning velocity (ISO 817) and explosion pressure (EN 15967); calorimetry hood for module and unit tests.
Quality system
The laboratory operates to ISO/IEC 17025 and is accredited by CNAS, a signatory of the ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement. It is a witness laboratory for TÜV Rheinland, Intertek and CSA.
