Energy storage fire protection

Huahuifire Inspection can use a combination of simulation and measurement, based on the UL 9540A level of testing, NFPA 68 and NFPA 69 verification results, or large-scale physical fire testing, to analyze the compliance of energy storage products under the NFPA855 standard. To provide customers with compliance analysis of energy storage products based on NFPA855 standard requirements in different application scenarios. A final NFPA 855 assessment report is required. NFPA 855 is the installation and safety evaluation standard for energy storage systems, and the evaluation report needs to detail whether the energy storage system meets all the safety requirements of NFPA 855, including fire protection, pressure relief, explosion prevention, and safety protection of the system installation environment.

The report includes the following parts:

1. System introduction and test results: The basic composition and function of the energy storage system are introduced, and the test results of UL 9540A at various levels are reported, especially the test results of thermal runaway propagation risk and fire expansion.

2. NFPA 68 and NFPA 69 verification: Describe in detail the design basis and calculation results of the pressure relief system and explosion protection measures, and explain how these designs prevent fire and explosion hazards in the energy storage system.

3. Large-scale fire test: Report the specific scenario and test results of large-scale fire test to verify the effectiveness of system protection measures in actual fire.

4. Final evaluation: Combine all the above test and simulation results to evaluate whether the energy storage system meets the requirements of NFPA 855. The final report needs to be signed by a Certified Fire Engineer (PE) in the United States to be legally binding. In this way, the project not only ensures the safety of the energy storage system under extreme conditions, but also provides compliance guarantees for the installation and use of the system.
