Purpose
Deflagration tests need distance and protection that a laboratory building cannot provide. Our Nantong site is dedicated to them. It tests every type of energy storage product, from commercial and industrial cabinets to large utility-scale containers.
What it tests
- Enclosure deflagration with the gas-handling system working and failed.
- Whether pressure is relieved only through designated vents.
- Overpressure and impulse at distance, debris throw and flame jets.
- Data to validate NFPA 68 vent calculations and CFD models, and to set the ventilation condition for large-scale fire tests.
